Stockholm
Just when i thought it couldn’t get any better out here, we arrive in Stockholm and get completely blown away. Firstly, i wanna send out a big thank you to the promoters and local crew at the venue Debaser that we played. They were so helpful and kind, it made the day that much better. And of course as always, thank you so much to all the fans in attendance for another amazing sold out show on the “Darkness is Spreading” tour. Without the dedication that you guys show towards the music, none of this would be possible. So again, on behalf of the entire tour, thank you! Today we have a well deserved day off in Stockholm. Tonight we celebrate Bennys (Gaslight Anthems drummer) 30th birthday (happy birthday bud!!), and then tomorrow we board an early flight to Helsinki, Finland for a show at Tavastia. Can’t wait to tell you guys about it, until then, be well everyone!!

Happy Birthday Chuck!
Today is our good friend/tourmate/busmate, Chuck Ragans birthday. On a personal level, he is one of the kindest, most good hearted men that we have met on the road and it’s a pleasure having him on this tour and being with him for his special day. The wonderful catering staff at the venue today made him a delicious heart shaped red velvet cake (which was eaten in less than an hour) for the occasion. Tomorrow we head to Stockholm for what promises to be another amazing show. Until then, have a good one!

Hey all! So after 2 amazing shows in Germany, we find ourselves in the lovely (and very cold) Malmo, Sweden. Last night in Hamburg was an amazing time for all, the show was packed to the brims and the crowd was insane! I had my little buddy Chris from the band Sharks (the amazing opening act on the tour) hanging at merch with me for the night. Let me tell you, they are making some really great music and turning lots of heads out here. If you are into bands like The Clash and Social Distortion, then you need to check out Sharks, you’ll fall in love. I also wanna send a huge thank you to Marcel Eger from the football team Saint Paulie for coming out to the show last night. Alex R. from The Gaslight Anthem is a die hard fan of that club, and hangs the flag from his guitar cabs every night. So, needless to say, having Marcel come out and support The Gaslight Anthem was a huge honor. More to report soon after our little run of shows in Sweden and Norway. Hey folks! So today is our first show in Germany on the “Darkness is Spreading” tour. We are in the beautiful city of Koln (Cologne) at E-Werk. I just took a peek at the sold out crowd during Chuck Ragans set and it is freaking PACKED, tonight is gonna be one to remember for sure. Also, to any of you guys coming out to the upcoming shows, you might just be treated to a few surprises during the sets. I have been sworn to secrecy for now, but trust me, it is gonna be awesome. And finally, all the pictures i attached were taken by our sweet stage manager Scotty Boom Boom at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, enjoy! Hey everyone! I’m sitting backstage while The Gaslight boys are currently killing it at Bristol Academy. We are 3 shows into the “Darkness is Spreading” tour and let me tell you guys, this tour is really special and definitely not one to be missed. It is filled with some of the most talented, genuine bands/people in the business and morale is really high, can’t ask for much more than that on the road. Last night the guys performed on “Later, with Jools Holland”. I attached a link of their performance of “Spirit of Jazz” so you can see it for yourselves.
Speaking of yesterday, we wanna say thanks again to all the peeps who came out to the show at Guildhall in South Hampton, we all had a blast. Tomorrow we head to Wolverhampton, and then get a day off before we head to Germany, it’s gonna be great to get back there! Until tomorrow, be well and be awesome to each other :)

Hello everyone! My name is Danny and the fine folks at Levis have put me in charge of this lovely tour blog. So today is day number one of The Gaslight Anthems “Darkness Is Spreading” UK/European tour! We are all extremely excited to be on the road with the amazing Chuck Ragan, and UKs own, Sharks.
